In The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the word quorum refers to a group of men who hold a specific priesthood position. The highest quorum in the Church is the First Presidency, followed by the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles. There are also eight Quorums of Seventy that help administer the Church throughout the world. Local congregations, or wards, have quorums for each of the following priesthood offices: deacon, teacher, priest and elder. There is also a quorum for high priests on the stake level.
