Marking a historic milestone in its community engagement efforts, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Hong Kong is making its debut at the annual Hong Kong Book Fair, running from July 15 to 21, 2026.
More than just an exhibit, the Church’s presence at the Book Fair represents a deliberate effort to walk alongside the people of Hong Kong and actively participate in neighborhood life.
"This year marks the Church's first time participating in the Book Fair, representing a step into the community," said Elder Wai-Hung Mak, Asia Area Seventy of the Church. "Through this event and other services, we want to make the community a better place and bring the core essence of the gospel to everyone who visits our booth."

Operating under the theme "Love at Home, Love the Legacy, Love to Read" (愛在家、愛傳承、愛閱讀), the Church’s booth is dedicated to sharing uplifting messages about the family. The Church has long taught that the family is the fundamental unit of society and that strengthening family relationships is essential to individual and community well-being. By engaging in family reading and preserving family history, the Church believes individuals can foster greater love, unity, and harmony within their homes.
Throughout the seven-day event, visitors to the Church's booth will discover practical tools to put these principles into action. By providing free access to Church resources, wholesome literature, and family history platforms, the Church hopes to empower individuals to navigate today's fast-paced world, build more resilient homes, and forge a living legacy that connects them to their ancestors.
